About 37th America's Cup

The event will unfold around Port Vell, where the teams' bases are located within the America’s Cup Race Village, a lively hub that will be free for the public to access. With a packed schedule starting with Preliminary Regattas on August 22 and culminating in the America’s Cup Match on October 12, spectators can witness thrilling races on yachts that can reach speeds of up to 50 knots, thanks to cutting-edge foiling technology.

Key teams include:

  • Emirates Team New Zealand
  • INEOS Britannia
  • Alinghi Red Bull Racing
  • Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli
  • NYYC American Magic
  • Orient Express Racing Team

This edition of the America’s Cup is particularly exciting due to its emphasis on inclusivity and innovation. Alongside the main event, the UniCredit Youth America’s Cup and Puig Women’s America’s Cup will spotlight emerging talent in the sport, with races using the smaller AC40 foiling yachts. The AC40, known for its advanced design and incredible speed, enables youth and women to compete at a professional level, fostering a new generation of sailors.

The AC75 class yachts, first introduced in 2018, will once again take center stage, with upgraded designs that include larger foils, reduced crew numbers, and state-of-the-art electronics. These boats, capable of achieving speeds four times the speed of the wind, represent the cutting edge of yacht racing technology. The teams will also utilize LEQ12 class boats for testing and development, pushing the boundaries of foiling techniques to gain an edge.

Supported by major sponsors like Louis Vuitton, Omega, Emirates, and Coca-Cola, this year’s America’s Cup promises to deliver intense competition, breathtaking speed, and a global celebration of sailing. For those unable to attend in person, live streaming will bring the high-octane races directly to fans around the world.
